Is it customary to give a gift to the salesperson or construction manager or both upon completion of a new home build?

I'm extremely happy with the job they've both been doing and the way they've handled my concerns. I know that they're being paid for their work, but I feel like they've both gone above and beyond what I expected of them.

What would an appropriate gift be? Amount? (gift cert? nice bottle of scotch?)

I don't see any harm in this, but check with your sales counselor or construction manager to see if this is even allowed based on his or her company policy.

Everytime I've purchased a different home with a great realtor, I have given them a gift. If you are happy with salesperson and the manager, sure give them a token of appreciation. The gift itself would depend on how much you know them. Perhaps a nice basket from Specs with some wine/cheese would be good. Not sure if they are male/female but a lady will always love a nice gift certificate for a Nail spa or a massage or something pampering.

Thanks for the suggestions. In my scenario, they're both male.
