Nah. Most people in the private school system kinda know that all schools, public or private, have their issues. Just ask the kids who has the best drugs...

If you are looking strictly at academics, I would say the top school is St. John's. Then its Kinkaid, Strake, St Thomas, St Agnes/Duchesne. After that its Houston Christian, Episcopal, St Pius, Awty.

For one, Awty consistently ranks near the top of Houston private schools for years now. (St. John's is *always* the top, Awty and Kinkaid shuffle near behind.)

Two, why on earth are you reviving all these old threads?

Plus everyone already knows the order of the best private schools.

Debates about "best schools" in a forum such as this are inherently biased by personal filters (alumni, rejection, child's strengths, location, old tapes, etc). Other than St. Johns sitting on the top (for Houston), not sure I have ever seen consensus.

Yes, another five year old school thread bumped for no discernible reason.

I went to St. John's in the 1960s. In terms of education, it was great. In terms of being full of stuck-up, rich, ******* kids that were more than happy to bully someone not from River Oaks....well, it was great at that, too.

Forget Wes. Who knew Elizabeth Holmes? Seems like she received a great education.
