We have some bugs in houston, that is for dang sure!

So I'm used to having my house nuked once or twice a year with the old fashioned cancer causing, lung choking, nervous system killing powder and sprays in the attic and around the perimeter inside and outside the house. But my new house has this system built in to the walls.
HomeTeam Pest Defense provides Taexx service for homeowners and Taexx installation to homebuilders.
Anyone here in town have experience with this? Happy? Unhappy?

We have this service, and I recently posted on here about switching. I am not unhappy with home team, but have found it to be a little expensive. They use the tubes in the wall, but also spray the old fashioned way, so you're not really avoiding any exposure to chemicals.. I haven't seen any bugs, so it obviously works, but I never saw bugs at my old house either.

Hope this helps!

We use Hometeam and have the tubes in our walls. They inject the tubes, spray round the perimeter of our home and will come in a treat any problem areas inside at your request. They also knock down any insect homes within reach and will come out in-between services free of charge.

We had ants once (after heavy rain) in between services and they came out and treated them immediately. The only other thing we have seen in the home have been a few earwigs (less than 5). Luckily our highly trained guard cats alert us to them LOL!

Ok, so no spray on the inside unless you request it? We have a toddler crawling around so I would like to avoid that.

We used Hometeam in our last house for 10 years, with the tubes in the wall. It was excellent, never had any pest issues except one time we had a sugar ant invasion. They came out and took care of it quickly with some bait. Wish my current house had tubes in the walls.

I have Home Team. Very happy with them. A little tip. Make sure you always use/ask for the same tech and also make sure every time you give him some beer money. It will do wonders, trust me :-) Besides everybody is happy :-)

Always easier when you don't have to be home.

Ok, I'll bite... what on earth does bribing an exterminator get you?
It usually costs a fortune as it is so I'm not in the habit of tipping them.

I've used HomeTeam and their TAEXX treatments since moving into my new home in 2008. I am very happy with it. It isn't cheap, but one way I found to save some $ on it is to prepay for an entire year (that's 4 treatments, done quarterly). They give me a 10% discount for prepaying. I have a 1-story home of 2100 sq/ft and the prepaying costs $215 annually.
Hope this helps.
