Which are good jobs for people with little to no job skills which make up the vast majority of Texas residents. Just because it isn't oil or gas doesn't make it less valid for those people who need those jobs. Houston has more than it's share of call centers as well. ACS employs a lot pf people in the Houston area that would have lesser jobs if they didn't exist.

Magazines love that because it helps them sel magazines to see where the reader's own city ranks. The simple measure is jobs to me.. what city produced more jobs in the past 12 months. What major city now has more jobs than it did before the great recession and again Houston has it. Glad to provide references to date if anyone doubts and wishes to see with their own eyes

There's a reason why I live in Houston instead of San Antonio (where I still own a house)
Houston = Engineering & manufacturing jobs
San Antonio = Military, medical & minimum wage jobs

<Bin1976> (What's the deal with that nick?)
In Houston, people are going insane trying to fill jobs in manufacturing and the oil industry.

Don't move to Houston unless you already have a job secured here.

LOL! I just don't believe in moving without a job secured. Why go to the expense of moving without a job? Stay where you are. It's either stay where you are and make them evict you, or come to Houston and sleep in your car.
