When will Taco John's enter the Texas market? Bring good ol' Potato Ole's from the American Heartland. Where else does good Mexican food come from?

^ yep that commercial looks like the 70s alright!

Most of the stuff that's sold at Taco Bell and similar places is just "fun food" to me, sort of the meat/cheese equivalent of a candy bar: low on nutrition, cheap and full of the things that get your tongue's attention in this case salt, peppers, spices, etc. And just like candy they should be eaten in moderation.

Taco Johns? I've only heard of them from watching Mystery Science Theater 3000.

I learned a lot from that ten year series! (and not just about fast food stores)

Default Del Taco in Houston

I saw this location being built and got very excited. I have not seen a Del Taco in Texas since I was in high school 20 years ago or visiting friends in southern California. Del Taco is way better than Taco Bell in the same way Two Pesaos was better than Taco Cabanna. I've been waiting for this place to open since I saw the construction, and I live just down the street. When is this place going to open already? I'm just saying.

I'm gonna give it a shot I've been pretty happy with some of the California fast food chains.

Meh, I used to work at Del Taco as a kid (I'm from LA) and I seriously don't get how you Texans get so worked up over fast food. 4 pages for another Mexican fast food chain? No wonder there are so many fatties here, no offense.
I'm a black male...black folks either stopped cooking or we can't get capital to open restaurants like mexicans can overnight....I've seen places close to reopen as another taqueria..but there are too many now all over the place

The trucks are hit and miss.....I remember seeing one at a gas station in 2001 and watching a big furry creature crawl from under it...
Yikes!
