Default Places to sell jewlery

Can anyone recommend any places to sell jewelry that are not pawn stores? I'm not in a desperate need to unload the pieces I have, so I am not willing to go anywhere too shady. It would be nice to have a few bucks instead of jewelry that I don't wear. Ebay isn't an option because I'm not really sure about the authenticity of the pieces (not enough to chance selling something that may have a fake stone, for example).

Is that business related to Shaws R&R?

Why the hesitation to try a few pawn shops? Look, no matter what the store he/she works in, the person you come in contact with is absolutely going to try to rob you. Its like buying a car. You have to negotiate like crazy.

If you are willing to get less money to deal with a person you deem more socially acceptable, good luck.

Lol, that was kind of what I was going for. I'm not good at haggling.

Shaw's is an upscale pawn shop - dealing a lot in high-end women's products.

Thats what I thought, been there plenty of times, but that website makes no mention of pawn. I figured they had a separate location that tries to ignore that side of the business for this very reason.

Hey, pretty easy. Weigh the stuff, do the math. You know what its worth. You can get pretty close, maybe 80%, but most likely its something like half.
