They are offering 10k airline miles to switch to their service but they only offer a variable rate plan. I read some online complaints from New York stating they jacked their rate by 250% after intro period but on Power To Choose they only have 3 complaints last quarter (versus 700 for TXU) so I don't know if that is their business model or an isolated incident and the low complaints may just be because they are new to the market. Anyone switched to them and have feedback?

I don't know anything about this particular company, but this is a terrible time of year to mess around with variable rate plans. I learned my lesson a few years ago when my variable rate shot up to $0.25/kwh in July and August. I go with fixed rates only from that point on, regardless of "teaser rates" or incentives offered with variable rate plans.

You can send me about $500 and I'll give you 40% of a free plane ticket. Certain restrictions apply.

Stay away. We just switched from a 12-month fixed Startex plan (10c-per 1000kwh) to a yearly Gexa plan (9.3c advertised, 9.0c with the promo code 3PCNTA) 8.4c at 2000kw+, not a bad deal at all.

They will eventually scam you.
Just canceled after a year - their rate went to 25% ABOVE what my local elec co (JCPL) was charging. Their business plan is to get you in at a low rate and then figure you won't check the bill to see what they charge after a few months. STAY AWAY

Teaser rates from a broker. Doesn't matter who you buy from, aside from customer service.

I did try them and left after 3 months when my rate suddenly doubled.

I got the same offer and considering doing it for the miles. Only have to keep them for 2 months with no contract to get the miles.
