Hi All,

My boss will be traveling to Houston for a business meeting, arriving Sunday and leaving Thursday. He is interested in any cultural events happening in the area, and I figured I would ask the locals to find out what is going on next week.

Also, if there are any "Must see/do" suggestions, please let me know. I have already pointed out the Space Center. I believe the turtle exhibit at Galveston Lab is temporarily closed (does anyone know if this is on a day by day basis or will it not be open next week?).

I have looked at some of the events on Metromix, Culture Map, and Artshound but didn't see anything that really stood out as "must attend".

Do any of the German Cultural Centers have exhibits/events? I thought there was a Goethe Institut in Houston but I can't find valid info. Are there others (that are not just language centers)?

Thanks in advance!

Depends on where he's coming from and what he likes to do. But museums are great and the theatres too. But those are always there.
As for specific events for that week, there's the Bayou City Art Festival in Memorial Park. He'll get to see Memorial Park and also local Houston artists.

The art festival is only this weekend - so depends upon what time he arrives on Sunday if he would be able to see it or not. He might enjoys some shows at the Wortham Centre while he is here or as others have said - the museum district.
