I'm not sure you really understand the discussion here. I don't think anybody is arguing against the existence of God. Some of us might not believe in a God, but nobody is getting into that here. This is a discussion about teaching evolution in school which, as mentioned by several people including myself, does not preclude some element of intelligent design at the start.

If you think that Adam and Eve just showed up one day and the world started, though, then there is just no reasoning with you.

Umm no...that is not "opinion" that is an observation based on tangible evidence. If I want proof of evolution then I can simply refer to the earth's geologic and fossil records. What can creationists point to as evidence?
