Default Wrought Iron Fencing

I live on a golf course where we are responsible for maintaining the fence, and mine is coming apart. Im not happy with the quotes Im getting, so Im hoping someone here can say whether or not Im getting hammered.

75 ft long, 48" height
+ 1 gate
3/4" verticals, 1 1/4" crosses(2)
2" posts

Getting quotes in the $2500-3000 range. Any input?

Sounds reasonable to me. While you're at it, consider putting in a gate if you don't have one and it's allowed. We live on a greenbelt, and having a gate put in is a priority.

Call Southwestern Fence Company, if you haven't already, to get a quote.

Be careful, when it comes to this type of fencing, not all materials are created alike and you largely pay for what you get. If you want a fence that isn't going to rust away on you in a few years, it might be worth to spend a little more. In my neighborhood, there are some fences where the bottom rail has rusted away in less than 4-5 years. Ours is powder-coated galvanized steel and it has zero rust in that time. Our installer was Tim's Fences and he really does stand behind his product (and he won't use the cheapo materials that many will try to sell you). He came out and repaired a gate for free 3 years after installation.

Also, don't get the style where the bottom rail is right at the bottom and possible in contact with the ground; ours is about 5" from the bottom of the pickets.
