Long Beach, CA vs Miami FL vs Las Vegas, NV (living, best)

Long Beach by a landslide. The best weather, culture, landscape of the three.
Las Vegas is one of my least favorite cities in the U.S.. It's just such an artificial look and feel, all tract homes and chains, too dry & dead looking, brutally hot in summers, doesn't exactly attract your best & brightest, lots of transients.
I was just in Miami. It has very bad traffic and congestion getting around the city, I felt like it took me forever to get anywhere, any time of day (but not like LA County doesn't). Sounds like you may be Spanish speaking so that is a plus. It has a tropical look and feel and beautiful beaches. It does have a reputation of having a lot of fake people very much into the type of car they drive, status, outward appearances, etc... (esp South Beach). All the high rises that block the beaches in SE FL bother me personally. CA did a much better job by keeping high rises off the beachfront. Miami IMO has the best weather from mid Nov to April in the U.S. But summers can be hot and humid. You are in a good location for quick getaways to all the Caribbean Islands. Miami has an international feel with lots of people from all over Latin America, and Russians and Europeans on vacation. I was in Starbucks and all I heard was Russian. I think SoCal has overall a more upscale feel.
I would go:
#1 Long Beach
#2 Miami
#3 Las Vegas (a distant 3rd)

Ok, so I'm thinking Long Beach would be cool since I am more Mexican/American and in Miami it's more South American / Cuban. However I like Miami because it is exotic and feel international. Does Long Beach feel exotic and international with it's diverse population? Also I like how urban and energetic Miami is, does Long Beach have this kind of feel? I like that Long Beach is in the West Coast and is very laid back. The taxes in California are sky high vs in FL i could imagine. Long Beach does have OC/LA right nearby and has it's own set of things to do within the downtown area which is a big plus. I am looking to live downtown in either location. Miami and Long Beach to both have a good hip hop scene (which I'm a fan of). Miami is more humid and less scenic as far as surroundings go. I enjoy women of all backgrounds, Miami is known for their latin women, I know Long Beach has some beautiful women too. SoCal has Earthquakes and Miami has Hurricanes. Long Beach has more solid 70 degree weather, Miami is year round warmth. Miami could be a place to vacation vs live. Neither locations offer casinos which is no big deal as I'm sure their are some nearby. I think overall Long Beach may pack more of a punch since not only does it have an good environment downtown, but it also has Anaheim/Huntington Beach(the rest of OC) and nearby LA. Miami you have Ft Lauderdale nearby and the Keys also the puerto rico and orlando nearby. CA has more variety in scenery , people in Miami may also be more stuck up which may also be the case in Long Beach or not. I think you're right overall Long Beach would offer more to "live" and Miami to "Vacation". Miami strikes more a bit more "upscale" with Brickell and Downtown. Miami is like New York's little brother whereas Long Beach is LA's little brother. As far as sports is concerned Miami wins too with NFL / NBA whereas Long Beach you'd have to drive to LA to see NBA and it has MLB nearby (Angels)
I like Vegas as well though don't get me wrong, I know it gets a lot of hate, but get this. It's not as crowded as either location, it's medium sized, has great outdoors, zero state income tax, casinos + nightlife + day life , no earthquakes or no hurricanes, world class amenities, there is always entertainment so that is always a plus as well, and plus it is most affordable out of LBC and MIA. It not overwhelming big like MIA and not crowded like SoCal. It does have hot summers but the rest of the year is pretty tolerable climate. Vegas also has college sports tournaments in March and has UNLV basketball which isn't all that bad as far as college sports is concerned. I also enjoy boxing and UFC fighting which Vegas does have also. Vegas also is diverse population wise. Urban wise I don't know if I would actually live on the strip, but they do got some nice suburbs if you want peace and quiet. Suburb living I guess isn't my main priority right now as urban living (downtown) living would be preferred. Vegas IMO has a lot to offer too.
I'd say that Hawaii has better weather November-April. Warmer.
In what netherworld is WARMER than LBC during that time of the year considered "better weather"? The only weather related complaints I've heard here for the last four years have been 1) its too dry 2) its too warm 3) its too warm and humid when it's supposed to be damp and cool; and 4) the demise of our snowpack is Apocalyptic. Not Old Testament plagues, End Times.
The LBC by a mile; this one's not even close. Miami and Vegas are tourist towns built for tourists while the LBC is truely an awesome place to call home with picture-perfect weather due to its location right on the Pacific coast. You couldn't pay me all the tea in China to live in Miami and endure the horrifically hot and humid summers. Vegas is the driest major city in America receiving only 4 inches of rain annually and it shows with its ugly, barren Mohave desert landscape. The only cities uglier than Vegas IMHO are Barstow and Palmdale/Lancaster, California.

Man...If I could live in South Beach I would do that over living in LBC. I like LBC, I was thinking about moving there but it's too far from Central LA which is the best location in LA County for me personally.

You've never lived in socal, have you?
I live in San Diego for 7 years. Many people in CA I knew, while they loved the SoCal climate, much preferred Hawaii's winter climate, and so they'd vacation there for winter break, or they would go to other warm places like Mexico.
