We have lots of trees in Houston if you like them. Plus we have the advantage of not being frozen 8 months a year like northern Michigan.

If Houston is so much better, then why is Dallas considered an Alpha city in terms of global importance, while Houston is not?

I can tell you this much: Outside of Texas, when someone talks about Texas, it is almost always Dallas that sets the precedent. This has been my experience, and I've lived all over the country, including Houston.

You people in Houston act like the 2nd grade boy who's in love with the cute freckled girl in his class. Instead of showering her with affection, he pulls her hair and teases her, because that's what 2nd graders do.

By this token, I suspect all you Houstonians are really in love with Dallas and jealous of it beyond comprehension.
When I was in NYC a couple of years back I went to the Top of The Rock & overheard a random conversation between two complete strangers talking about how awesome NYC's skyline was. I think what shocked me next was how that random person also mentioned Houston in the next sentence & how awesome of a city it was & how its skyline was one of the best in the world too.

Dallas was never brought up.

Coming into Dallas on 45, it was difficult to get downtown. Don't know how it is from other parts of town.
Future Central Park? I have not heard of such a thing yet.
What is a High 5 interchange?

Really? LMAO!
LOL! Thanks Lizzy, I really enjoyed reading that

I haven't been here long, but I love Houston. This doesn't mean I don't see the things that need to be fixed here. One big example is better infrastructure to support mass transit, walking and cycling. The weather is absolutely beautiful! I know it will be hot soon, but so far it has been fantastic!

Houston is what it is. Dallas, NYC, New Orleans, San Francisco, etc., etc. - are all what they are. Why does one have to be better than the other? Variety is nice. Otherwise, why ever leave home?

It is the MASSIVE freeway interchange of US 75/North Central Expressway @ LBJ Loop 635 in Dallas.

Houston has a few 5 stack interchanges, but none quite as large as the only one Dallas has.
