Default Tomball- how is it?

We're looking at some houses around the Tomball area currently...I have got the feeling that the neighborhoods are not quite developed out there yet- more older, smaller stores than newer corporate establishments. If we're around the Cypress Springs road, are there any nicer shopping centers or sports bars within a 5-8mi radius?

If you had a similar house in the Humble area, would you rather live there than Tomball if you're more into large, new entertainment establishments?

Thanks!

The Spring Cypress road area aound 249 has built up tremendously over the past 5-8 years. Lots of new stores and restaurants and they are still building. Walmart, Target, Kohls, and many of the nicer chain restaurants plus some local chains. And like I mentioned in your other thread, Willowbrook Mall is about 5 miles down 249 with almost everything you would need. Look them up on their website.

There are plenty of restaurants and bars and places to hang out around the mall and up and down FM1960 especially towards I-45. Olive Garden, BJs Brewhouse, TGIF, plenty of other local chains too.

Hwy 249 has also being constructed to bypass central Tomball further north and west and there is a lot of new development in that area west of Tomball. And there is a very nice new Silverado movie theatre/restaurant/bar right by there.
