For a 1bedroom apt. Not much stuff.

Can you recommend one that you've used?

Thanks in advance!

Navarre Cajun Movers in Fresno. Best I've ever used and I've moved alot. They give a firm quote after an interview and don't vary from it. Last move I had with them, they moved everything (except lawn equipment and gasoline) from a 2100 sq/ft home to a new 3000 sq/ft home, both in Pearland, for under $800. I tipped the three guys $50 each, gave them all the bottled water they needed and fed them lunch (they didn't charge the time while eating). We were totally wowed. Nary a ding nor scratch on anything and they would stop for us to put pads on everything with legs.

I just moved from 3 Bedrooms plus a playroom for about 1100 dollors. I know it is little expensive but they did a hell of a job. Wrap all my funiture with plastic including mattress etc. Although they did scatch the door on my new house but i don't blame them becoz my fridge quite big. My builder fixed the door and painting the scratch on the wall. You can get an insurance for about 50 bucks that will covers everything.

Had 3-men movers move us this weekend from Sugar Land to the north part of Richmond. Only cost us $485 and we were going from a 3 bedroom to a 4 bedroom house. No large appliances and we don't have much large furniture besides the Master bedroom. They took about 3 hours, including the short drive.

That's pretty far for not a lot of stuff.

The small Uhaul and a few friends and treat them to a cheap lunch afterwards should do it. Cheaper.

True but I'm not physically able to do the move so I would rather find a honest, reliable moving company.

In the past moving companies can have all of my stuff loaded/unloaded in less than an hour. The most time will be the driving the 55 miles.

Distance may have something to do with it.

Just look at it this way-- $500 is cheaper than medical bills for a hernia and slipped discs.
