Hey NEPATs, i dont know about the new Consolidated offer (the 50mbs for 2 year lock-down) but I signed up with them about 3 weeks ago for cable and 20mbs internet. They threw in free installation with 4 DVRS for free. So far, the internet has been very good. I work remotely from home via VPN and it works quite well and hasnt dropped.

The cable is just meh. My gripe is that the some of the none HD channels are not very crisp clear, and the HD channels are not full HD (they output 1080i). Also Consolidated only installed one of the set top DVRs boxes with a HDMI cable; they used component cable for the rest, so I had to buy 3 HDMI cables for the rest. The difference in picture quality is clear between HDMI and component cable connection.

Lastly for some reason, they took over 3 hours to do the installation, way more time than I have ever seen a cable/internet installation done. Some technical problem for which the technician had to call for back-up from the head office or so.

They also dont offer some channels which I had with Comcast. Being a European soccer addict, I was shocked that they didnt offer Beinsport on which I catch Spanish La Liga soccer. But they offer Gol TV which has German league soccer.

So far, so good.

Unless consolidated has come a long way in six months I wouldn't use them. When I had their 6 Mbps service (all they offered at that time) it would never get above 3 Mbps and they worked on it numerous times. Finally got comcast and now have their 150 Mbps service and loving it. I have their double play all for about $100 a month.

We are closing on a new build in a few weeks. I checked on Comcast site and my address was said to be install ready, so we will be sticking with Comcast for Internet. As much as I don't like them, and as good as the Consolidated offer looks, we won't be switching. DTV for TV. I did have a question regarding the MUD for anyone that currently lives there. Our contract shows that we are MUD 156, but I couldn't find any information on this MUD online. Was mainly looking for deposit amounts, contact info, etc.

You will have to pay a $95 deposit. There is not much info online and an online payment system is in the works.

You will need to contact Severn Trent for your mud/water questions. 281-579-4500

Hi SABIFOK

Thanks for the reply .. I have a DTV for TV which is really great . I am just concerned over the internet. If you say the Internet service is good. I think I will switch it soon . Since Comcast is horrible in pricing.

Thanks

MUD 156 is new and they do not have online payment system setup yet. You have to do it through the Billpay from Bank. I think HEB even does not take the checks. But they are working on it.

They definitely now have edge over comcast seems like - One of our other neighbors sent me email saying the Fiberoptic is simply too fast.

I'll keep my 150 mbps service with Comcast which usually runs around 120 mbps but for me where it counts is the upload speed. I run anywhere from 25 mbps to 45 mbps while consolidated can only say 5 mbps. It makes a huge difference.

As for pricing, I pay $100 a month for everything I have with Comcast. Internet and cable with 3 HD boxes and all are dvr capable.

As for the intersection that is going to be another small park area.
