It's really about the only thing the two cities have in common.

Oil & Gas service company actually.

Calgary is very beautiful. There are mountains! I always think of your city when I think of Canada.

Calgary is very nice - I have been there for a business trip. Next time I get up there I'm going to try and stop by in Banff for a little while.

It's a great city and area. Tons of outdoors stuff to do.

I'm looking at it like I'm trading the Rockies for the Gulf Coast, and brass monkey cold stretches for mind blowing heat and humidity.

As I say, you don't have to shovel heat.

The seasonal Western motif between Houston and Calgary is also similar.

As Houston has the world's largest rodeo, Calgary has the Stampede... the world's largest outdoor rodeo.

Shovel. I always think of Chicago when I hear that word in a snowy context.

Houston will be a culture shock compared to Calgary. Greater Houston is approximately 5.5 times more populated than Calgary; the same as Greater Toronto. Canada's cities are lightly populated where as American cities are not. I'm hoping that Houston will grow even more, like around 10 million.

I usually don't remember much about Stampede. Alcohol induced memory loss.

^ ^ It's a scientifically proven fact that most canucks can drink me under the table in less than an hour.
