I miss Wegman's too. I was just at a Wegman's last week while I was visiting family in Maryland.

Why doesn't Houston have 7-Eleven's? I never understood that because the HQ is in Dallas, I would assume they would be popular in Houston.

When Dallas-based Southland Corp. went belly up, and was purchased out of bankruptcy by it's largest franchisee, Seven & I Ltd. out of Japan, the entire company was restructured. As part of the restructuring, Stop 'n Go bought all of the 7-11's (Circle K's too, I think) in Houston. They will never return due to a non-compete which I believe is still in effect.

In a nutshell? About 50,000 square feet. Wegman's is the bomb. The wine section alone is bigger than some of our Spec's.

I've been to Wegman's before. It's like a way bigger Publix and a Trader Joe's (& Whole Foods) mixed together IMO.
