Does anyone know of some low key fireworks shows in the Friendswood and Clear Lake areas? I know that Kemah will be having a big one on the boardwalk and Friendswood will be having their annual show at the Centennial park, but both of these venues will be pretty much impossible to find decent parking and a struggle to get a less then decent spot to watch the show. Friendswood isn't allowing parking at the park as they are expecting over 10k spectators. Yikes!

I'm looking for a smaller show in those areas, where I can get decent parking, and most of all, be able to lay out a blanket or two and have a nice picnic before the show begins. I don't mind that the show is smaller or not as extravagant as the larger ones.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and of course, Happy 4th of July!

try Alvin. It's probably just what you are looking for. You can see it from the DAV or Kroger parking lot.

I attended Friendswood's show tonight. We caught the bus and were able to find a good spot to see both the band and the fireworks. 20 minute wait to get back on the bus and home shortly after. They added a lot more busses this year which made the process smoother.
