I love the hot weather but you have to look at actual temperatures combined with the heat index. Your mom lives here - do you? This site has "averages" but also shows the actual.

Weather History for Houston, TX [Texas] for June
Yeah and I hear it gets really cold in Fargo, ND in the winter. LOL.

That's called an outlier. Oh never mind.

Well by all means look up some "averages" instead of "actuals" temps for Fargo and let them know how wrong the people who live there are about their supposed cold weather.

I'm sure you would b*tch about how cold it is there nonstop. As if people there are not aware of how far north their state is on the geographical map.

People adjust to the climate they live in - so yeah, when you acclimate to a hotter climate, some people are cold when it is 50. Just like when Houstonians visit Chicago on one of their heat wave days and people in Chicago are crying about the heat.

Jek, why do you care? You don't even live here. We are the ones sweating through our work clothes on the way to the office. If we want to complain about a month of 100 degree temps, we will.

You make no sense (you brought up Fargo) - and as I love the heat, I'm not complaining about it. Smells like a troll that is is just trying to create a caustic thread.

I dont think its unusual to be this wet or have the temps we've been having. With the exception of last summer Houston's summers have always seemed rainy. I think last summer just fried our grass, pine trees, and memory.

I visit there enough and am thinking of moving down there but for the love of God, if I have to hear people complaining about the obvious every single f*cking day that I'm down there, I'm not sure it's even worth it. I was raised that you complain about the things you can actually do something about. Ever heard of the serenity prayer? Look it up.

And yes, I'm aware of the heat in July and August. But i've read at least 10 posts in the last day talking about the boiling heat 9 months out of the year and the fact of the matter is, it's simply not true. Three months out of the year it's hotter then sin. Another 3 months out of the year, it's just plain hot. The other 6 months out of the year are not even in the vicinity of hot. And if you guys want to complain that 75 in November is hot as sin, well hells bells, you might have deeper troubles you want to look into.
