What is too fast?
I can tell you what is too slow = When you have 20 cars behind you and everybody keeps on passing you on the right lane.

Sorry texasfirewheel,

Your statement about me not being on topic when I am on topic. I was saying earlier how I believe people who use hazard light is because they are driving slower than normal. I'm just stating that most state laws tells you to not use your hazard light and to drive slightly slower than the normal, and not too slow where it can be dangerous because of a possibility of being rear ended. That is where I am going with this, but apparently you have a problem with people who have an opinion about having hazard light. I'm also simply explaining why some would have a problem and why some people do it.

There isn't a definite speed to say this is "too fast." Depends upon the current road conditions.

The first time I saw the use of hazards in the rain was during heavy downpours in South Florida. So it's not just Houstonians who do it. Though I don't know if you want to take any driving tips from the way Miamians drive.

According to this personal injury law firm, I haven't been using my hazard lights enough!

Too bad Houston residents don't worry about their body weight like they do other people with hazard lights on, now that is distracting!

houstonisgreat,

I think we Houstonian do worry about our body weight, but we just don't do enough to lower it beside there are too many great Houston restaurants to resist over eating

I've got firefighter and cop buddies that state that it's illegal to drive with your hazards on. Their reasoning is that you should pull over onto the shoulder if it is that bad. I tend to agree.

There's 1000 more dangerous that people do on the road than "drive with their hazard lights on"
How about... people driving for miles with their turning signal on?
or even worse... not using the turning signal at all.

I rather have people communicate too much (hazard lights) than not enough (not using their turning signals)

Quick list of each state's hazard light use:

If you click on a state name you will be re-directed to a page listing more rules, etc.
