Hi! Looking for some help. Married with 3 young kids. How's the weather and job market in Houston? Are school districts any good? Any info is appreciated.

The first thing people on this board are going to ask you is:

1. What is your price range for housing?
2. What part of town will you be working on, if you are coming here with a job

And the weather is pretty hot and humid until about October

Coming here w/o a job isn't the best idea. It's not as plentiful as the media would have you believe. If you don't have a job, you might want to check out the job market in whatever field you work in first before making a decision.

Houston is an extremely large city, so we're going to need some more information in order to help you.

This, secure a job first. Too many people coming here without a job in hopes to find a job and get a major reality check and spent money they did not have on moving costs. If you have an engineering degree in the oil and gas field there are tons of jobs but I would still find one before the move. A lot of companies hiring those type of high level jobs are paying for relocation.
