My Family and I are moving to Cypress in Summer 2013 and I need more information about the town. I'm 17 years old, and I need to know what's the best high school to go to in Cypress?? My Mom wants to move into the Fairfield area (behind the outlet mall) so where are some good high schools close to there? Also what else does Cypress has besides the outlets? Thanks!

Probably the best high school is Cy Fair High school that is right on Hwy 290, based on the quality of students and the awards and sports teams. The other schools around Fairfield are good too, Cy Ranch and Cy Woods. I would have no problem with my kids attending any of them.

As for what to do, there is quite a bit of development a few miles in towards downtown Houston. Almost anything you could want is at the Cypress/Rosehill, Spring Cypress, Hwy 290 interchange. Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes, Target, Best Buy, Hobby Lobby, Michaels, Cinemark, JC penney, plus many of the chain restaurants and other smaller places to shop and eat at. Not quite a full mall, but pretty close. A little further in toward town is Willowbrook Mall, probably 25 min from Fairfield in no traffic. Plus you can cut across the back way to the town of Tomball, where they have a lot of shopping and more things to do.

One thing that is out that way is the Showboat Drive-in theater. Fun place to go and see two current movies for real cheap.

The high Schools in Cypress are good so you shouldn't worry there. Since you are 17 yrs old there's also Lone Star community college near by for the future if you decided to go to a community college vs. a University that is also good.

Yeah I've decided to go to Cy-Ranch, I LOVE that school. Lol thanks about the community college, but I'm more of a University type of person. U of H or PVAMU!
