to get a theme/amusement park up and running here?

I understand the fiasco/debacle that is now the seemingly defunct EarthQuest, but something else should've been established and up and running since the close of AstroWorld. What is the hold up? When it was known that AstroWorld would cease to exist, why wasn't there something already in place or plans to replace it, elsewhere in town????

I agree! It's crazy for a city of this size not to have an amusement park.

well, seems the last decade and a half, Six Flags has run into some issues. Something like it, but not run by SF. I know there are independent-run parks across the country. I think a city this size, should have at least 1 amusement park and 1 theme park.....

That's what I was thinking! They certainly would not have funding issues, and it makes sense for them to have a park in the middle of the Country.

Is everyone unaware that the dino/earthquest amusement park will be opening any day now? Of course, I think the only attraction is going to be "dig for bones"... make sure to bring your own shovel.

and this means......????

like I said, it seems to have fallen by the wayside. Even if this project is fully in repose, there should've been something else already up and running. We shouldn't have had to hang our "amusement hopes" on something so "iffy".
