Space Disney!!!!
I second this!

See most of the newer Casinos are like this with some sort of Entertainment theme.

I would prefer a Casino district closer to the loop though. Because of our limited transportation system, I would not want something that would have to be like Kemah.

Can you imagine how huge Kemah would be if it was closer to town???

Can you imagine this rejuvenating east downtown??

Or this located in between Downtown and TMC, joining the skylines??:

Downtown would be Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A Theme Park would not do much for the city. Would probably shut down in 15 years

This would even blend in around the Convention District:

The people of Texas might be for Casino Gambling, but the Lege would never permit it. The religious among us will keep it shut down forever.

You guys do know the casino is a package deal right? If you want Vegas and you want the casinos, then you also get the drugs, prostitution, organized crime and dare I say, the eventual poverty that comes from it. Hey don't get me wrong, I'm all for it! Just not sure everyone here knows everything that comes along with.

I'm from St. Louis and when we got the riverboat casinos they were a game changer. Turned the economy around, provided jobs, brought in tourists. Then 10 years later we had an epidemic on our hands. Poverty went through the roof. Demand for social services sky rocketed. Divorces soon followed. Just putting this out there.

On the flip side, the county did tax the casinos pretty good and put a lot of that money into welfare and even a local hospital I think. Just something to consider.
