Moving to Woodlands or Conroe area
Hi Everyone,
My family and I are moving to the Woodlands or Conroe area. Is one nicer than the other or are they pretty much the same?
I have a family of all girls that are young teenagers, and we love to go for walks and explore, my girls are very active and outdoorsy...... will there be lots for us as a family to enjoy in these areas?
We will be coming down from Canada, do you think it will be a huge shock for my girls to adjust to the schooling and making friends( my girls are very friendly)
Thanks

A great resource is greatschools.net.
Look at the high schools of Tomball vs. Conroe. They are both established and there is sufficient info out there to help you decide.
I too am moving into the area: the Woodlands was our choice, but we still have two coming up through elementary.

When we first moved to Texas, we moved to Conroe after 2 years and 3 kids in Conroe schools ... we moved to The Woodlands. Much better schools and area overall, a little more money, but worth it for the better schools even though they are both Conroe ISD.
Best of luck to you and Welcome to Texas

eeks. no choice there. The Woodlands all the way. You don't want to drive in downtown Conroe, trust me. You'll forget you're in America.

My husband and I are leaving palm trees & beaches with the excitement of somewhere awesome to run & bike!!! After very lengthy discussions, we've decided that we underestimated the necessity of these things! We visited the Woodlands recently and are SO happy about the 145 miles of trails!?!?! No more same boring running routes!!
