If Houston spreads all the way out to Brenham, pretty soon it'll try and swallow up Austin, or be a twin city. I have a friend who lives as far South as Brazoria and says there are lots of people there who commute to Houston. Lake Jackson as well. She said a lot of people moved to Brazoria and bought property on or near the Brazos River as there are new neighborhoods popping up there now. It's kinda sad...I remember when Magnolia used to be way out in the middle of nowhere! Please tell me they are not clear cutting all the beautiful trees to make way for all the developments out that way.

I agree with this. If anyone has been out west on FM 1093 over the last year or so, they've built thousands of houses right outside the city limits of Fulshear. Since this area appears to be withint Fulshear's ETJ, I could see that town annexing this area, facilitating more development and then growing by tens of thousands over the next 15-20 years.

There would be alot of room for more lanes on FM 1093 and a commuter rail line(s) to boot if that darn tollway was not in the middle of things.

I really can't believe they only built four lanes. I understand there were ROW of issues but longterm no one could possibly think that the four lanes alone would be worth the trouble.

METRO owns half of the ROW and is saving it for a commuter rail line.

Liberty county. The rate of growth is good here, taxes are reasonable. the commute on Hwy 90 to bw8 then to DT Houston is about 45 min from Dayton. Lots of undeveloped land. Opportunities for expansion are very good. U.S. 90 between BW8 and 610should be completed within the next 2-3 years

There's already big neighborhoods popping up in Fulshear... well Katy right on the edge of Fulshear on FM 1093 and 359.

I am moving to Houston in July. I will be working in La Porte. Where should I look for housing. I have 2 boys so I am looking for good school districts.
