I'm sure Little V wasn't expecting to cater to "down low" Walmart clientele. lol bring on the 60k millionaires

But it's so good. So it's worth the extra 20%. I would prefer to pay more money for better food.

I don't know if I would say you're paying for better food, more like the convenience of the location.

Little V is definitely more expensive. Noticed it too. Food isn't any better but you are paying for the convenience. I'll go back if I'm not in the mood to drive down to Mason.

Definitely more convenient. I'd rather pay 20% more than have to drive 15-20 minutes to Mason to get my Veitnamese fix. Plus having to deal with parking and being busy.

From Cardiff Ranch, it's a drive. I mean...I actually live there. Minimum time to get to Mason rd is literally 15 minutes. MINIMUM. Heck, map it. Even good ol' Google will tell you the same. Then, I have to find a dang parking space if it's busy, which is half the time for some places. In reality, 15 minutes isn't a big deal. 20 minutes isn't gonna kill me. BUT, if I have the same restaurant viewable from the back window of my house, why on earth would I drive to 15-20 minutes to Mason rd to save 2 bucks on a darn meal? Bonus is that I can do a quick take out and avoid tips...ha!

We tried to go to Little V's on Monday night about 6:30 and it was locked and dark. Hours on the door showed that it should have been open.

They are closed on Mondays, unfortunately. Most Vietnamese restaurants close on Mondays. I have no idea why?

My wife and I, along with a couple friends, had dinner two nights ago at Little V's Vietnamese Bistro located in the new retail strip off Corbitt/1463. It was their grand opening day. The food was better than expected and the decor is also a nice surprise. Exposed brick wall, pendant lights, acid stained floors, a decent selection of wine and beer and a massive 20 ft mural imported from Vietnam. We spoke to the owners, two Vietnamese girls, who were super passionate about the food they make and how they have plans to expand the menu. It is not as traditional as some of the 'hole in the wall' places you'll find dotted along Bellaire, but it's not over the board Americanized, either. Again, the food was better than the average Vietnamese Pho or Bánh mì cafe. The quality of ingredients was the first thing I noticed, and the preparation of the meats were stellar. Full of flavor...they definitely got the marinade down for the pork.

Pricing is about 20% more expensive than you would find at most smaller sized Vietnamese restaurants and cafes, but considering it's literally in my backyard, it is SOOO worth it. The ambiance is also a bonus.

The negatives I have about it are the waiting staff...we had two people waiting on us asking the same questions. It's as if they were oblivious to who was waiting on who...and there were only a few groups of people in the place. They seriously need to focus on customer service, but considering it was only the first day, I gotta let that one go.

If y'all are in the area, and enjoy Vietnamese/Asian food, I think you're in for a treat. The pork spring rolls are a must before you try anything else. -davy
Definitely give them another chance. We were there a couple of days after the grand opening. It was our first time to try Vietnamese food. We enjoyed it. We also had the spring rolls and they were delicious. The service was a bit disorganized, but we weren't complaining. It was a new place, busy, and everyone was working hard. There was some sort of mixup with our order. Our waiter and the young lady/owner were both really sweet and quite apologetic. You could tell they really cared. The owner offered to comp our meal, but we refused. She said her father had recently had a heart attack and there has been some chaos due to his absence. He will be coming back to work soon to get everything straightened out.

I wish them well. I plan to go back in the next few weeks. I saw a couple of appetizers I would like to try out next time I'm there.
