My husband and I are looking for a house right now, he works currently near Cypress, but within the next couple years will probably be in the Woodlands.
I work at beltway 8 and westheimer area, on the west side of houston.
We want to find somewhere in the middle, BUT, his commute coming from my area, and going towards his work, will be against traffic, whereas if we move closer to the woodlands or cypress, i'll be fighting with traffic to get to my office.
Any suggestions? I just spent the last 2.5 years up in DFW commuting 45+ minutes one way (w/out traffic) and i'm REALLY looking to not have a super long commute.
Our budget is around 150-200K i would say, and we're really negotiable at this point, either more inner city (smaller space) or suburby area (more bang for your buck) just as long as it's convenient for our offices, and in a safe area, and near the usual necessities.
This is our first house

so we're really excited! but i've only ever lived in the Memorial/Spring Branch area of houston, and i know all along I10 from the west into town, but i'm not as familiar with the northwest side.
Thanks for any advice!

(oh, also any subdivisions/areas that people feel should be avoided, that too is appreciated)
