Recently found out that I am going to be moving to Houston. I want to live in the midtown area since that seems like the bumpin place for young people. However concern is traffic to work. I will be working west of Bellaire near the sugar land, mission bend area. I noticed there is a certain Westpark Tollway that goes all the way there.
Question is how is traffic? In the mornings I will be leaving away from downtown and in the evenings going back towards downtown (probably more midtown), does that help matters? I am asking because I have heard Houston has some pretty bad traffic and long commute times

You won't run into much traffic on the Westpark itself heading in those directions at those times, but getting to and from the Westpark may be a different story.

The Reverse commute on the westpark is super easy going, but can get very expensive. Getting to the westpark and getting to your destination after you exit will be your biggest challenge.

hmmm, I am think getting to my destination exiting westpark toll should be no too bad because my destination is less than a half mile off it.
I did not know reverse direction toll was greater... I saw online that the toll is like 60 cents so one day would cost me a buck 20 which does not seem too bad.

Tolls are collected along the route and at some exits. Depending on your route, it can get expensive - someone catching Westpark in Katy travelling the entirety would rack up 8.60 round trip per day.
