Obviously, homes in Hou do not need a separate heater, the A/C heating facility would be enough,or wouldn't it ?
I've only used the heat once this winter, and it was only for a few minutes. It's 82 today, AC running full bast.

To clarify, I'm not running the A/C because it's hot. It really isn't. But it's humid as heck. Forget the heat. It's the humidity that kills ya.
So true. It's is already bad enough I have a excessive sweating problem!

Lose weight!!

It's not so bad. I'm comfortable in my shorts in January. Though, this is not preparing me for my trip to DC in two weeks.

I'm not overweight, I have excessive sweat glands or that type of disorder "hyperblahblah" something like that.

Not as mild as people want to think. I've lived here for about 10 years now, some years warmer than others. There were days where it didn't get past 45 during the winter.

How cold you think it is has to do with your individual tolerance level for it. I don't have much. What gets me is that winters here can have such wild variations in temperature within a single day. There can be lows in the 30's (usually nights and early mornings) with highs during the day anywhere from the 30-70's, before doing it all over again the next day. You could start out the day wearing a coat and by mid-afternoon you could be in shorts, before having to put that coat back on to go home in the evening because your body hasn't had enough time to get acclimated to the change in temps.

Yeah, winter 2006-07 was friggin' COLD for Houston. It was often in the 30's and 40's at night, with days not much higher than the 50's or 60's in January and February that year.

So,Houston has a fantastic climate.

U may spend a little more for cooling in summer but u save a lot from non-heating in winter...
