What are some good "see and be seen" spots catering to a young affluent crowd in Houston?

I'm interested in nightlife, coffee shops, and the arts. I'll be visiting this weekend and need to know the most happening places to go.

Thanks

This party is going on Saturdayvat the Cullen Sculpture Garden next to the Museum Of Fine Arts
http://www.mfah.org/a/mixed-media

Coffe shops:
Montrose: Agora, Blacksmith, Cafe Brasil, Boheme during the day
Heights:
Antidote, Onion Creek, Down House during the day

Nightlife:
I'm not sure of all of those kind of bars are still around on Washington Ave. or not - the area is kind of fizzling out. Roak, Belvedere, Dogwood, the Monarch Bar at Hotel ZaZa (next to the museums), Zimm's.

That is where I hang out. It is kind of the opposite of see and be seen. It is a bohemian place. We keen the trendy and affluent beat back with an indie music stick and affordable prices.

Hipsterism is still trendy. Don't kid yourself.

The MFAH mixed-media is a good idea.. even though it is 18 and up.

Nightlife in Houston is not really in one central location. If you're from Texas or the South in general this willsomething that is perfectly normal if not it will be an annoyance, again depending on where you're from.

But yes some of the previously mentioned areas of the city are good.

My number one suggestion is to get a car. And bundle up.. its supposed to be chilly this weekend.
