Am I the only one that's completely paranoid of my home being infested by these creatures?

I wouldn't be too paranoid. I read somewhere that they don't spread as fast as fire ants do. So you shouldn't expect them anytime soon unless someone tracks them into your house on their shoes or clothing.

Nah, I had them in and around my house last summer when I moved to Pearland. I freaked out and called the guy who actually had them named after him, Tom Rasberry.

Rasberry's Pest Professionals, Rodent and Pest Control, Rasberry Crazy Ants, Pearland, Friendswood, Deer Park, Tom Rasberry, Houston, Texas

They came out and treated, said I didnt have them very bad, and I havent seen one inside since. I havent noticed them on my property since, but they are EVERYWHERE in my neighborhood. You can stop almost anywhere walking through the neighborhood, look down, and soon enough youll see them.

Its like the old MJ line, you cant stop em, can only hope to contain 'em.

I've seen them outside before, but they never took hold. They run around at warp speed. I admit I am afraid of fried electronics so the ants do scare me a bit. However while weeding the yard last weekend, I unintentionally stuck my hand into some fire ants. I am sure I will do that again as long as there are fire ants and as long as I have to keep up my yard to satisfy the HOA. So because of that, I am kinda wondering if the crazy ants are really that bad...

Everytime I see this crazy ant situation reported I assume it must be a slow news day.
