By the way, when I do need customer service, I never call the 800 number. I call the Houston number 713-341-1000 and I get to talk to a real person immediately.

I'm also in 77077....Comcast is flaky for us as well. The cable is usually okay, though the program schedule guide onscreen sometimes freezes or clears, or is filled with "TBA" programming.

As for internet, we started having intermittent service a couple months ago. Internet signal would weaken or drop out for a few minutes, then a few hours, then all gone. We thought maybe it was our router, but the Comcast tech support said they were not receiving a signal.
Finally got someone to come out...about 3 days. They changed the axial cable from the box in the yard to the house and changed out the modem. So far, the internet is working fine.

So, could be an issue with the hardware, not necessarily local signal strength. Otherwise, could be your router?

Comcast sucks!!! they claimed my modem (which i own) was theirs and that i was leasing it (even though my bill never showed any charges for a leased modem)..that was a nightmare to deal with since they had their third party equipment retrieval group keep on hounding me about it.

I had ATT Uverse for when i lived in an apartment and i loved it. never had any issues and the speeds were very comparable. Unfortunately, for now we're stuck with comcrap as well. hopefully one day, google fiber will arrive
