I read some old threads about pool contractors on here and contacted Flamingo Custom pools in Tomball as a result. They don't do our area. Cyfair pools (I think that is the name) was suggested also. Any one have experience with Anthony and Sylvan for concrete or Kanga pools for fiberglass?

Atlantis pools has a very good reputation and I believe they service Kingwood.
I'm not affiliated with the company in any way and can't speak first hand but I've been doing a lot of research on pool builders in Houston and the guy who runs it, Kelly, comes up frequently as being recommended.

Atlantis Pool Company

There are a couple of forums that may be useful:
Swimming Pools and Spas - GardenWeb
Forum Index • Trouble Free Pool

My research has focused on the Cypress area as that's where I live, I'm happy to give you recommendations of what I've found but Atlantis is the only one I'm fairly confident does the Woodlands/Kingwood area too.

I have Grand Isle pools and The Pool Man coming round next week to meet with me to get quotes.

I suggest contact Flamingo Custom pools during the winter. Better prices anyway and they will go further during the winter. In the summer they're swamped

Atlantis installed my last pool. They have a pretty healthy following on Garden Web, which is where I found them. The owner, Kelly, is active over there. He knows his stuff.

I saw Atlantis posted at the forum you mention. Thanks for the input. Think they will come over to kingwood? I called The pool man and they aren't coming this way either.

Default Pool Pricing

Hi, I see some of you are getting bids on installing an in-ground pool. I'm considering homes wth a pool or with a lot size that could support a pool. However, I don't know how I should price the differential? One r/e agent said her clients have put in a pool for 40-50K with all surrounding patio etc. This seems pretty expensive to me. Any experience with pool prices would be greatly appeciated.
