It's a long article, but here's the list:

"Best Places to Live Right Now":
The Woodlands
Garden Oaks/Oak Forest
Spring Branch
Galleria/Uptown
Montrose
The Heights
Washington Corridor
Pearland
The Museum District
Westbury
East End
Downtown
River Oaks
Braes Heights
Bellaire
Cinco Ranch
Sugar Land
Memorial City
Timbergrove/Lazybrook/Shady Acres
Cypress

Up and Coming:
Sharpstown
Springwoods Village
Riverside
East Downtown
Brooke Smith

25 Hottest Neighborhoods (Page 1) | Houstonia Magazine

It didn't seem to be ranked by order. Twenty of them are considered "Best" and the other five were considered "up and coming". Anyone agree or disagree with their list?

Meyerland is not on that list homes are selling in 6 weeks or less

Springbranch has never really been that hot and East end still has a little ways to go untill it is hot the light rail construction is why it has not gotten hot yet

Sharpstown Country neighborhood is the only hot part of Sharpstown right now and it does not even has 200 homes

Isn't that pretty much most of the West side?

Springbranch is very hot. Home prices there are skyrocketing because of good schools and a decent location. East End is being developed rapidly. That list is pretty accurate.

Not all of Spring Branch. When you say Spring Branch, almost everyone thinks North of Westview and East of Gessner. Areas not zoned to Memorial/Startford.

Since Spring Branch is so big, i think its a little misleading to say the entire area is hot when everyone is looking to be moving into those to zoned areas.

Not all of Oak Forest is zoned to Oak Forest Elementary. There are some really crappy areas in the Museum District. It is just for a general area.

Spring Branch north of the I-10 is very hot outside of the "good" school zones too, the closer to the I-10 the better. That location is convenient to a wide range of businesses and shopping and thus appealing to a broad spectrum of buyers. If I were downsizing I'd seriously consider something just north of Memorial City mall.

But I think the article is misleading in the sense that it would be more useful/accurate to say what areas of Houston aren't hot at the moment cause it seems everything is burning up!

Pretty much.

I equate "hot" neighborhoods in this market with the majority of homes being sold in less than a week, three weeks at most

Spring Branch:North of I-10 is really picking up. Hot? Maybe, but it will be hotter in a few more months. South of 10 is an inferno.

Sharpstown: It's going to take a lot more apartment complexes burning down to make that place hot.

Woodlands/Pearland etc. Are at a nice boil, but I don't see hot reflected in any major price increases, like in the city. Quick sales, little price jacking.
