I was just thinking about how much things have changed in the EC area in the last few years with commercial development, residential home price surge, and federal + local dollars being invested into the roads and infrastructure. I'd like to hear people's thoughts on this area's growth in comparison with how the Bunker Hill area has exploded in the last decade. Is it a fair comparison, or not?

My S.O. and I have been contemplating cashing in now and looking elsewhere, but I am more than a little worried that we're jumping the gun. Thanks for everyone's input in advance!

No, due to significant difference in lot size.

Between parkway plaza and highway 6. Main entrance is from highway six. Nice neighborhood with people putting work in those houses. Also a private school sort of in the neighborhood (that I went to for a few years).

Sorry, I knew that!

My 2cents:
Bunker Hill isn't the right comparison I think your competing more with Katy, specifically Green Trails/Nottingham Country, which has (on paper anyway) more consistent/better schools. You have a great elementary and one of the better high schools in HISD so this should help and, in terms of location, it is better than the rest of Katy. Proximity to the energy corridor will be attractive for expats who get schooling paid for but overall I see appreciation there in line with west Houston generally, but no real 'explosion' if that's what you want.

I guess the better question is, what are you thinking of trading for?

You could always rent it out, if you can find good tenants, until you think it's time to sell.
