Maybe you should go to a bar that does not allow dogs. I bring my dogs all the time to bars.

No, I'm taking indoors at a bar. Where the dog lays in the middle of the floor. Patios are fine for dogs.

I agree that dogs should be banned from bars. Who wants to look at homely people whilst getting' their drink on? Buzz-kill, anyone?
I can't tell you how many dogs I've seen at bars... like this girl who was wearing corduroy bell-bottoms and a tube top. The early 2000s called - they want their clothes back.

it is built on the concept of what you can do in large european cities. people happen to be out in the evenings walking their dogs and stop for some friends, stop along the way to have some drinks and doggy comes with.

In Paris they bring them into the restaurant...nice upscale restaurants. It did not bother me at all...they liked playing fetch my wine bottle cork. It was fun actually!

I would much rather be in a restaurant with a cute playful dog vs. screaming whiney child at the table next to me.

In a bar it would not bother me either but I would worry about the poor thing inhaling smoke, being uncomfortable, being bored up past it's bedtime or being jacked with by a fellow drunk.
