I visted mont belvieu and i loved the area and i heard the barbers hill schools are the best. Between those two, I would pick Mont Belvieu hands down. Not necessarily that the community would be nicer, but the commute to wherever you have to work would be far better. Getting on Interstate 10 at any time of the day or night West of the West Loop is a nightmare, and that's what you'd be doing on a daily basis in Katy.

I would just look on realtor.com or har.com to see what's available land-wise. I have used two realtors in this area (Baytown, which is next to Mont Belvieu) in the past three years, and I haven't been that impressed with either one, although the one I currently have to sell my present house (Bates Brinkley) seems better than my last one (Krisher McKay).

Default Realtor rec

We're in west Chambers County just south of Mont Belview. Mary Dunn currently has our home listed and has a great web site.

Yeah, I'd say 26 hours is real time. I'd budget in more time for pit stops for gas/food/bathroom and any potential traffic delays through the cities you're passing through. I'd personally split it up over 3 days (9-10 hrs each), so that when you get here you're not completely drained the first full day.
