Default House Insurance Rates-Richmond VS. Friendswood

I will be moving to Houston in January and was looking at the area around Friendswood as I'm a programmer and there is a great deal of IT work available in that area. However, I have just located a rather stunning house for sale in Richmond, in Pecan Grove Plantation. The commute to the area around NASA would be harsh but Richmond to the Galleria area wouldn't be bad.

Anyway, the taxes and HOA fees are (relatively) low in Pecan Grove. I'm curious about home owner's insurance rates. I assume they are much higher in Friendswood (near the coast) than Richmond. Any insurance agents on the forum?

Anyone here live in Pecan Grove Plantation? How do you like it?

Thanks!
