cell phone service in NW Houston - ATT vs Verizon
We just moved to Gleannloch Farms in NW Houston/Spring. Though we have been Sprint cell phone customers for years, the service up here is horrendous. I keep getting dropped calls or no calls at all.
Does anyone have better experience with their cell phone carriers around here? How does ATT compare to Verizon (for service)?

I just switched to Verizon a few months back and I really like it. The cell service is great and the customer service is 10 times better than Sprint.
Hope that helps.

Sprint has been the worst cell service I have ever had. Drops calls alot - particularly within a few miles of the airports.

I have T-Mobile and am looking at possibly buying in Gleannloch Farms. There seemed to be no problem there, in fact, it is pretty close to a full signal. On tmobile's website, you can plug in an address and it will show the coverage area. I personally love T-Mobile and have used them for nearly 9 years. I realize this is only Houston, but it is the World's largest network as it is really Deutsche Telecom. Good luck!

Well, we've never had AT&T, but we did have Cingular about 3 years ago. About two weeks ago, a representative from AT&T's collections department has been calling my husband's parents (whose initials are the same) every single day insisting that HE is my husband, and insisting that we owe for our last statement, that we never paid it. They wanted HIS social security number to verify he wasn't my husband! What?!?!? He told them he wasn't giving them his social security number! They've been calling EVERY day since and they know that he isn't the right person. So we've had to go digging through all of our bills and faxed them a copy of our canceled check. That was 6 days ago. They've still called every single day, including Thanksgiving. Nice business practices. We will never recommend them, and we've never technically had cell service with them.
We have had Verizon wireless for the past few years and have absolutely no complaints, and miraculously, all our statements are current with no disputes! Imagine that!

I own a Verizon indirect dealer so I'm a little biased but as a prior customer to sprint and as one of Verizon, Verizon is way better...especially customer service. If you do need any phones I can give you city-data discount I'll give ya same free phones and knock 25.00 off your bill.
