I'll trade the Krispy Kreme shops for just one Krystal burger place. I know it's some of the lowest quality food on earth, but they're just so tasty!

Didn't Shipley's kick Krispy Kremes butt already? Some people never learn.

You are either Shipley's or KK. I suggest we all meet in the middle of Westheimer, about Beltway 8, and rumble.

Reminds me of the Whataburger/In And Out thing.

In a town this large, we should be able to support both.

No, that's not what happened.
There was a dispute with KK and local franchises here and that's why they left.
Sorry, but Shipley's tastes like crap compared to KK.
I'll be counting the days until KK returns.

Right, that's why they've only been around for 77 years and thoroughly dominated this market and crushed all competition including the overrated KK.

Shipley's ran Dunkin and Krispy Kreme out of town once and they will do it again

Shipley's has only been around in Houston for all those years.
I've never seen a Shipley's outside of this city.
KK has been around for the same number of years with locations all over the world and clearly has a cult following.
It's really no comparison.

More misinformation that unfortunately people in this city have been fed repeatedly and now believe.

It's not that one is actually better or worse than the others. It's the dead or alive taste buds of the opinioned person. My taste buds crave a hot, airy shipleys. Krispy Kreme to me is thick and too cake like. Tastes like cardboard to me.
