Default We have decided on Katy!!!

After a lot of researching My family and I have decided on Katy to find a house. We will be going this weekend. Any suggestions on places to check out? Restaurants, Shops, or just any places that would show us that we made the right choice? I am very excited that we finally narrowed it down. Thank you everyone here who has helped with there advice.

Defining Katy is sometimes difficult. To my mind it begins just west of Highway 6 and goes on out almost to Brookshire. As you will no doubt be pretty busy looking at houses you won't have a lot of time for anything else but there are lots of fun shops etc. along 99 aka The Grand Parkway. If you're going to live in Katy you should be sure to check out the H.E.B grocery store. Since you aren't from these parts you won't understand the reference to Central Market but once you get here you will want to go there to be amazed at all the stuff they have. Anyway, the H.E.B I mentioned is owned by the same folks and will be the most comprehensive grocery store in all of Katy.

Smile I Just Bought In Katy

Likewise after much research I also bought in katy. I strongly recommend the 77450 zip code south of the I-10. I can say that this is a great place to live and will be for a long time to come. The I-10 improvements will be completed by the end of 2009 making the drive downtown much better and the Energy Corridor is just booming. The schools are great, the people are friendly and with the Katy Mills Mall, Centerra at Cinco Ranch, George Bush Park etc. Plus you are only 2 hrs from San antonio and Austin for those weekend getaways. I am convinced that you will love it.
