Do us all a favor, and Google Map the routes from The Woodlands and Sugar Land to downtown tomorrow morning at 7:30 am and take a screenshot to post so we can see the travel times (with current traffic conditions).

My guess is that you may see a 12 minute difference at the most.

I was commenting on the 40 minute commute from the woodlands, not the difference. I just can't see that being 40mins in rush hour.

Anyone with half a brain can look at a map of the Houston metro and see that SugarLand is a closer burb to town than Woodlands is.

As to commutes, the worst I believe is that of 290, which is from Cypress.

What difference does it make if 290 is worse if it's all about how many inches it is on a map?

Katy (I-10) and Hockley (290) are the same distance on the map from downtown Houston, so anyone with half a brain can look and see that the commute coming in on 290 and I-10 should be the same, right?

Google maps estimates travel time based on distance, speed limits, average traffic speeds, etc. so while SL is geographically closer, the commute from TW generally moves faster. So you're both right, stop bickering.

Default Moving Companies

Does anyone have any moving companies they can recommend. I am moving from So. Cal to Houston in 2 weeks.

I would stay away from katy that traffic is nothing nice! But if you don't mind that it could be a viable option!

I recommend Katy, and Klein. Klein is near me and they have exceptional schools. Tomball schools are not bad as well.

Wow... All I can say is wow. Sorry Op.

I think you get the drift though. 450k and "exceptional public" schools, Whatever the hell that is, means you are going to drive. Ya'll stop lying with those fantasy numbers, it's getting old. Most likely an hour each way to downtown, no matter the direction. But once you get out there, you'll find plenty.
