Yes, true. That part of the beltway is the most expensive mountain to climb if I'm not mistaken. Also speaking of scenery, the Gulf Coast doesn't hold a candle to the NorCal coast. Subie, if that was part of your outdoor recreation, you're going to miss that as well.

I've taken Westpark from Uptown (to the wholesale computer parts warehouses) quite a few times and have never noticed that one.

Well next time I go to Chinatown for possibly counterfeit computer parts and accessories, I'll check it out. I'm sure it's just great!

Murphy USA And The Impending Oil Shortage

Murphy USA on the Gulf Freeway next to Walmart consistently has the lowest gas prices in SE Houston. Cars line up at this gas station to fill up every time I am there. OK, I haven't actually compared prices among various local gas stations. But when people line up at one station fill their car with gas, it's gotta be the price being lower than other places. The price for unleaded gas is $2.69 a gallon today. Things look good for those who sell gas, but not so good for those who need it.

It's amazing how many people will line up and wait for gas at one place as opposed to another over maybe a five-cent difference.

I was down in Texas City just earlier. Several places have it for $2.75. There is probably lower around there but I didn't go around burning gas just to look...

Default 1 yr olds birthday party

Hi,
My daughter is turning one next month and I can't seem to decide what to do for her birthday. My husband thinks we shouldn't do anything and it be just the 3 of us and get a cake and gifts for the baby. I don't want to do anything big but want something more than just the usual. We don't want to spend a lot of money. I don't want to do it at the house. any suggestions? what did most of you do? are clowns appropriate?
