Does anyone know whether the school being built on the corner of Trinity Bay and Shadow Creek Blvd is a new Fort Bend ISD elementary? I can't find any information on it and tried to call the ISD, but it wasn't much help.

No it's not. They're going to fix the situation at Blue Ridge by transferring some of the kids to Parks.

Here's all the info;

You'll have to dig to find what's pertinent to you.

Thank you as well. I was unaware this change was in process, although sad to here nothing will be built anytime soon in SCR for FBISD. They should really remove the big blue sign as a possibility. It's annoying to hope and know it won't happen. Good to hear about the re-zone about Parks and also if they follow through with the re-zone to the new MS south of Broadway. No changes for the HS level, but that solves problems for many years until 9th grade I suppose.

I have a kindergartner who is in the magnet program at an HISD school. We are moving to the FBISD side of SCR. I am concerned about being zoned to low performing schools. Does anyone have kids that attend these schools? If so, what are your thoughts? If not, what other options are you utilizing?

I went to a "low performing" school and I turned out fine but that was before these dumb ratings came out and parental involvement changed

My "low performing" school was the envy of FBISD as we did things other schools were afraid to do but then the district stepped in and rezoned...anyone that;s black knows the best way to kill us is to get us to start infighting and FBISd did that successfully by adding Marshall which was a waste

..you have better opportunities at certain FBISD schools if you try..why be ranked low at a high performing school?

I'm surprised that FBISD hasn't built its SCR school yet. You'd think they'd want to jump on the bandwagon

not enough people to justify it....SCR already reports to Alvin ISD and the areas next to it go to Manvel also...

There was a deal for FBISD areas of SCR to let the elementary kids go to Alvin ISD schools but it's supposed to end once FBISD builds a new school in its part of SCR

The Facts

This was back in 2005. The article stated that at the time no children lived in the FBISD part, but that it'll take 4 years for it to build up
