I need help with home theater installation including projector, speakers sound system as well as some TVs that need to be mounted in 3-4 rooms. I know the mounting part is DIY but I would like to get it done professionally since I don't have help lifting up the TVs etc. Before going on Angie's list and other places I thought if someone could recommend me someone that they have used in past it would be great. Any referrals would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Have used Modia when I bought a system from them and was happy.

Used Best buy Geek squad and have been hit or miss.

I recently had Robert from Audio and Video Dreams install in ceiling speakers and outdoor speakers. He also setup my new receiver. I would highly recommend him for your project, he's very knowledgeable and really enjoys his work, so he takes a lot of pride in making sure its done right. He will do an estimate and consultation first to make sure you are satisfied, sends a detailed estimate, and then does top notch work. Check him out!

Would someone share the cost of installation?

Before getting everything ordered up and such, you definitely want to go to AVSforum.com

Do a bit of reading on things like projectors, speakers, BR players, media servers, screens, sound isolation, etc. and definitely take a look at people's build-outs.

I learned a lot on that site AFTER I completed my home theater. It would have been nice to have that knowledge BEFORE.

Yes stuff is expensive, as electronics by themselves aren't cheap and then you add labor on top of that. I know Robert can get equipment on people's behalf as a dealer, which is a good option as opposed to just going to Fry's or whatever and then buying whatever is there.

I am not sure if he wants his bids public, but for buying 4 in ceiling speakers, installing the speakers, remounting my TV, activating Cat 5 into the receiver, running speaker wire to the back porch and mounting two outdoor speakers and setting up everything to work wirelessly through the app was between $600-700. Honestly, I felt it was worth every penny based on the results. Would I love to be able to do it all myself? Sure...but he was done in about 3 hours, with wires hidden and everything cleaned up. Pretty sure I wouldn't have gotten than far.

I'm going to reach out to Robert from Audio and Video Dreams as well. We already have bid from Capitol but I would like to have another bid for comparison. So far, I'm pleased with the professionalism from Capitol but the cost was way more than we expected.
