Is this still on target for summer 2015?

Hi! I always enjoy shopping at Walmart. They have clean restrooms and an awesome pet supply aisle. Why would it be bad for real estate?

Have you ever seen peopleofHEB.com or peopleofKROGER.com? No, there's peopleofwalmart.com and that's why. Plus, just drive 5 more min. east to another Walmart.

LOL! Plastic bags flowing in the wind, along with other garbage landing in your neighborhood. Increased traffic, light pollution, and many more people traveling in your neighborhood area that would not normally be there. I would not buy a house that is right next to a large box store shopping center. I'm really glad we were able to stall the Walmart planned next to my neighborhood long enough due to wetlands issues that they decided to build it a few miles away on a main street intersection not bordering residential neighborhoods where it belongs. I don't mind driving to go there. NIMBY!

The map shows that it will be on the NE corner of 1463 and 1093. Due in Summer of 2015. They are clearing land on the NW corner but the NE corner is still untouched and it is February now. They are also opening a Chick Fil-A, Chilis and Whataburger with the Wal-mart.

So it's nearly spring 2016. What happened to this project?

I believe this project has been pushed back to begin sometime in 2017, now.

I imagine they are waiting on 1093 widening construction to start so traffic will be less of nightmare.
