Ants?! That's it, I'm officially having it delivered... I'm not using my own vehicle! LOL

I could bring my own bags of topsoil though.

290 grass has good stuff and they deliver. Sod from big box stores and Houston Garden Center is usually total junk.

Nice pic, Pedro!

So I called living earth and asked how much topsoil I need for 750 sq ft, and they said 8 cubic yards

Seems excessive, I just want to till in 1-2" of topsoil and I was thinking maybe 2 cubic yards would be enough. I'm not even sure if I need topsoil. What do you think?

8 cubic yards is a lot of dirt. They could be right, I certainly don't know, but that is a lot of dirt.

My yard/bare ground looks very similar to yours... did you put in any topsoil?

I ended up going with Houston Garden Center and ordered the delivery for this weekend. I'm hauling the topsoil on my own, from Living Earth. The project begins on Saturday. Just hoping I don't screw it up...

Sorry, missed this the first go around.

No, I didn't, but you will get better results if you do.

Have fun this weekend.

Thanks. I'll stock up on gatorade and beer, too.

Man, that was hard work. Now watering it with impunity, and praying it'll take root.
