Default How is Spring (Hardy Toll & 45)? Centex?

Does anyone know the area of Spring at Hardy & 45? I am looking at buying a house in the area (Northwood Pines subdivision). I am nervous because I don't know the area too well. I am moving to the area to be closer to my job. Also, how are the schools in this area?

Any info on the area, subdivision, schools or Centex homes would be great!

Thanks!

Dunno the area but Centex makes crappy cookie-cutter houses.

You are better off going a few miles West into the Klein/Champions area. There are lower cost tract homes in the area if that is the price range you are looking for.

Klein and CyFair schools would be much better as well.

chris_ut,
Can you expand on "Crappy"? I know they are boring houses, but it seemed pretty nice. Anything specific that you have heard?

Thanks!

I would go into the Klein area. Better built homes and better schools.

Default I live there

We have lived in Northwood Pines for almost 4 years. It's a great little neighborhood that is very easily overlooked. Spring ISD is a good district. What's even better is in 2009 an elementary school is going to be opening up just across the Hardy within the larger community of Northgate Crossing (Already in construction and everything). In 2011 a Jr. High is supposed to open up. So your kids would be very close to their brand new schools. It's a great place to live to have access to go anywhere. We can get to the Woodlands Mall area within 5 minutes & 1960 within 7 minutes. I would highly reccomend moving here, we plan to stay here for a long time!

As for the "crappy houses" they are just simple & plain, we have had no problems with our home falling apart or any nonsense like that.

Sorry, "boring" is a better word than "crappy" as I meant to imply that they are lacking in character, not in structural integrity.
