Hi,

We are moving to Pearland area in the Spring and are looking at which is the best schools, grade to highschool. Also, which community? I;ve heard good and bad about Shadow Creek, what else is there with GREAT schools?

We are looking in 400-500K range. Our kids are 4 and 2, so schools and a young family neighborhood, safety are very important to us.

Thanks!

I would move to Friendswood which is next to pearland and the schools are some of the best in the state.

My granddaughter is at Massey Ranch which is a new school just in its second year and we are very happy with it. It is the first elementary school in Pearland to be an IB (International Baccalaureate) candidate. All the schools in Pearland will eventually go to the IB curriculum according to the plans.

Friendswood also has good schools. Some schools in Clear Creek (?) ISD are supposed to be great as well.

If you're going to by a 400-500k house in Pearland I wouldn't worry about quality of schools at all.

If I were to buy a house that cost this much, I wouldn't think twice about sending my kids to private school.

And yes, Clear Creek ISD is good. So is Friendswood ISD.

The thing i place the most importance on is SAT scores .Friendswoods average score is 1140 and pearlands is 1020.IB is fine but in the end sat scores are what you want and need for placement in higher learning.

Gosh, what have you heard about the schools in Shadow Creek? Is it because they are zoned to the Alvin DIstrict?
